Start with the question

A useful suggestion begins with a clear question or perspective. What would you like readers to understand? Why does it matter to the people providing care? Your idea might explore leadership, a practical challenge, a learning question or a conversation that deserves more attention.

You do not need to send a finished article to start a conversation. A short outline can explain the subject, the perspective you would bring and the kind of reader it might help.

Keep private information private

Please do not include identifying details about children, residents, families or colleagues in an initial enquiry. Any proposed case study or personal account would need appropriate editorial consideration and permissions before publication.

Distinguish your own experience or opinion from claims that need supporting evidence. If you have relevant sources, tell us where they can be checked. Publication depends on editorial fit, supporting evidence and the necessary permissions.
